I started at 10. I had enough time. I split the climb. Today 1.500 meters to Pradollano a ski resort in the Sierra Nevada on a height between 2.100 to 2.400. And tomorrow the summits.

The road to Sierra Nevada is comfortable for cycling with a wide shoulder. Not to steep. I believe mostly 6 % sometimes 8 %.

Very less traffic. Only the German automotive industry tested their climate killer cars and drove up and down all the time. Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi. Also some MAN trucks.

Rio Genil coming from Sierra Nevada flows through Granada and flows after a long journey into Rio Guadalquivir and after passing Sevilla they flow into the Atlantic Ocean.
31 kilometers from Granada to Sierra Nevada.
Little by little 🙂

Nearly done.
This could be the Pic Veleta (3.396). The road is almost up to the summit. Also to see the Sierra Nevada ski resort Pradollano where I stay this night.
Little by little 😉
My hotel is on the second „floor“ so I have to climb another 200.
Ups, there still more kilometers 😉
Now I did to much – – enjoy 100 meters down 😉
Today’s hotel. Looks like a Tyrolean one 😉
Thx to this games my father bought our first black and white TV.
Marvelous. I called it the tomato sunset. It was unbelievably red.
36 km from Granada to Pradollano and about 1.600 meters up and nearly 8 hours. GT 3.196 km.
